About the Event
The University of Queensland Centre for Online Health hosted the internationally recognised academic event “The Successes and Failures in Telehealth Conference” from the 1-2 December 2011 at Royal on the Park in Brisbane.
The aim of the conference is to provide the opportunity for delegates to present their experience, the latest research and discuss the pros and cons of telemedicine, telehealth and e-health from a national and international perspective. During the conference, the Australasian Telehealth Society held their 2nd Annual Meeting, where Anthony Maeder was voted President.
The event’s uniqueness as the only academic telehealth conference in the southern hemisphere attracted approximately 200 national and international speakers and delegates and was a huge success. With an array of speakers and session topics, the conference provided an excellent program for attendees to learn from experts in the field. The scientific program was informative and interactive and the trade show enabled delegates to discover the latest products and technology available in telemedicine and e-health.
