Hi

Well, here we are at the end of another year. It's been exciting and challenging here at Iceberg Events, with a lot of changes going on, and some new clients on board.

We’ve been in our new offices (not so new now!) for a whole year - lots of you have popped in for coffee on Park Road (I do love taking people to La Dolce Vita, as many of you would know). We’ve had lots of new experiences this year (quad bikes and sand tobogganing feature highly on my "new Experience" list, as does a ride down to Kingscliff in a hummer!).

Our Networx Marketers Meetings have gone from strength to strength – if these events are of interest to you – please let us know! We are going to add to these next year with a Breakfast Series as well as our regular evening events.

Though we are supposedly "winding up" for the Christmas Break, we’re actually "gearing up" for a big first half of next year that will see us running events in Cairns, on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. 

Please enjoy this issue with a summary of what we've been up to this year and I hope you enjoy my recipe for Butter Tarts - lovely Canadian treats!

I hope that you all get the break that you deserve after a year of hard work – we look forward to seeing you again in 2008!

we've also been up to a couple of things recently...

Stella Hospitality Group's Familiarisation
Jodie and Lisa were shown a day and a half of fantastic activities, function and accommodation options for your next conference or special event. 

We got to ride in a hummer on the way down from Saville South Bank, to Q1 Resort and Spa, Mantra Legends Hotel, Peppers Salt Resort and Mantra on Salt Beach.

Warner Village Theme Parks Familiarisation
Kym and Lisa went along to check out the Sea World, Warner Bros Movie World, Wet n Wild Water World, Paradise Country, Australian Outback Spectacular. 

We saw some amazing event options at each theme park, there's so much to do for your next event!

2007 Babes Do it Better Babes in Business Luncheon
Jodie, Lisa and Kym were guests of Kelly Baker of Edible Blooms for the annual Babes in Business' Babes Do it Better Luncheon at Giannis Events Portside.  

Edible Blooms were a sponsor of the Award for the Halo Babe: This Babe is a saint. She is committed to making a difference in the world and inspires others to do so. The winner was Tara Castle of Pampered.com.au. 

Tara is also a good friend of Iceberg's and we agree she is a very deserving winner!  She is not only a working mum but is there to put her hand up first to help the community.  She spearheaded a campaign to send teddy bears to orphans in developing countries and is raising money for premature and seriously ill babies through her inspired "One Armed Cookbook". 

Congratulations Tara!  And well done Kelly on supporting babes in business!

Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort Familiarisation
Jodie and Kym were fantastic volunteers to check out the nature-based adventure of Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort.  They went sand taboggoning, quad biking and dolphin feeding.  

Tangalooma has certainly changed its image, it is now a fantastic conference and accommodation resort, and we encourage you to include it as a potential option to provide a relaxed, eco-adventure option for your next event!

Lisa Ma graduates with a Certificate IV in Design
Lisa graduated from her one year part-time studies at Shillington College (graphic design college).  She now has her Certificate IV in Design.  

She will be available to design event websites, registration forms and invitations for conferences and events. Clients can view her printed portfolio at our office, or view her digitial portfolio (small sample of her portfolio) here.
