The 50th Congress of the International Academy of Aviation & Space Medicine was a scientific, social and financial success.
As the Chairman of the Organising Committee and one who has held similar positions in other international and national scientific aviation medical meetings, I can say that a major factor in this success was the selection of Iceberg Events as the Conference Organiser.
Inevitably, with almost 400 delegates from 46 countries, there will be problems with communication, finance, travel and accommodation. Exceptionally, not one complaint was received from any of the overseas delegates.
Jodie Parker was always cheerful, even in potential adversity. Her great attention to detail and her willingness to use her experience to contribute innovative ideas for consideration by the Committee was a great strength.
