Iceberg Events Newsletter April 2017 - Happy Easter from the Iceberg team!

What a crazy start to the year we have had! A whole raft of events, and then Cyclone Debbie to contend with! I hope everyone was largely unaffected. We have several events in North Queensland this year - one particularly in Airlie Beach - so we are waiting to see how they fared.

We are checking out some new destinations for conferencing this year - we recently had a look at Port Douglas, and I'm writing this from the airport on my way to Darwin - very exciting!

Also, a big welcome to Bella, the newest addition to our team! Scroll down to learn more about our newest Team Support person - this brings us to ten in the Iceberg offices!

Wishing everyone a lovely Easter Break!

Talk soon,

Jodie Parker
Managing Director

Conference and event applications are a fantastic way to inform delegates prior and during the conference. Apps provide attendees with an interactive alternative to the program book and can be available for iPad, iPhone and Android phones and tablets and free for your delegates to download from the iTunes App Store or Google Play.

App features and benefits include: full program upload; promotion of speakers, sponsors and exhibitors; increased interaction; attendee convenience and instant updates; real time analytics as well as feedback, ratings and quick polls. By giving delegates the means to communicate and interact during the event, makes their experience more meaningful, and they can continue to interact after the event.

Talk to us about how you could use an app at your next event!

"I just wanted to complement the excellent job Brodi-Rose Newsome did as your company’s pre-conference go-to person for presenters like myself, and then during the conference on the front desk. Quite unsolicited, two other presenters made similar comments to me."

Bryce Johnson, New Zealand Fish & Game Council

"Iceberg is the best PCO we deal with from an exhibitor's perspective, information is clear and the girls are always helpful, this made the event a breeze for us!"

Welcome to bella, our new team support!

What do you like about events?
I love being able to organise a special experience for guests to enjoy and the opportunities that arise. It is so rewarding to see all the hard work pay off! Events is an industry full of passionate people, who I am so excited to work with in my role at Iceberg Events.
What is the best trip you've ever taken?

One of my most favourite trips is definitely one which I took to Melbourne with my brother last year. We spent the whole week drinking the best coffee, eating out at the funkiest restaurants and shopping up a storm!

  • Book: Eat Pray Love
  • Favourite band: INXS, Coldplay, Foo Fighters
  • Movie: The Bodyguard
  • TV show: Gilmore Girls and House of Cards
