About the Event
Queensland Sugar Limited (QSL) invited 15 Japanese Delegates to Australia to celebrate their long-term, valued partnership with Japan and QSL's combined significant achievement of 21 million tonnes of sugar exchanged between Australia and Japan since 1974.
The delegates stayed at the Pullman Brisbane King George Square and enjoyed the Industry Dinner on Tuesday evening at City Hall.
On Wednesday 20 November, the delegates flew out to Cairns where they visited Maryann Salvetti's Cane Farm in Tolga and the Mossman Central Sugar Mill. In the evening the delegates experienced the 'Flames of the Forest Dinner' in Port Douglas.
Thursday 21 November was dedicated to a morning of Golf followed by lunch at the Sea Temple Port Douglas before flying home in the afternoon.
