8th Australasian Drug and Alcohol Strategy Conference was held from 2-5 May 2017 at the Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa (Te Papa), Wellington, New Zealand and was co-hosted by the New Zealand Police and the Australian Federal Police.
ADASC 2017 provided an invaluable opportunity for delegates to share experiences between policing jurisdictions, health service providers, policy analysts, academics and industry representatives. ADASC 2017 facilitated strong partnerships and enabled everyone to work in collaboration to minimise the detrimental effects of alcohol and other drugs. This year's conference attracted over 300 delegates with 17 sponsors and exhibitors, 3 international keynote presentations, 3 national keynote presentations, 79 oral presentations, 4 panel sessions, including the Commissioner's panel and 4 posters across 2.5 days of sessions.
