The inaugural Listen, Connect, Reflect Conference was held 11-13 May 2023 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Iceberg Events was proud to organise this conference bringing together the community sector working to end domestic and family violence in Queensland.
The conference attracted front line workers, government policy makers and people with lived experience of domestic and family violence. Sessions focussed on dissecting the current National Plan To End Violence Against Women and Children 2022-2032. Comments from delegates indicated the conference was very impactful and a huge success.
Iceberg Events were involved with all aspects of organising the Conference, which was a great success.

Biggest Challenge: Planning for the conference started with a shorter lead time than normally required. Strong relationships with our client and suppliers enabled us to work together quickly to create a successful conference.
Event Highlights:
1. The coming together of the community sector actively working against Domestic and Family Violence in Queensland.
2. Speakers being primarily frontline workers.
3. The presence of the Cairns DV immersion activity every 2 minutes allowing delegates the opportunity to experience what it could be like living with domestic and family violence in a safe and facilitated environment.
The Listen, Connect, Reflect Conference was a success bringing together 437 participants from around Queensland in a truly immersive experience.
