About the Event
The Australasian Epidemiological Association (AEA) Annual Scientific Meeting was held from the 20 - 22 October 2013 at The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Bank. The Meeting theme this year was “Life Course Approach to Health and Wellbeing”.
With 4 Plenary Sessions and 6 Keynote Speaker Presentations, 108 Oral Presentations and 71 Poster Presentations the Meeting investigated the role of biological, behavioural and psychosocial processes that link adult health and disease risk to physical and social exposures acting during life or across generations.
The Conference provided an opportunity for researchers to present and discuss current and future epidemiological, biostatistical and public health issues, and to provide a forum for networking with like-minded individuals. Students and early career researchers in epidemiology, biostatistics and public health were particularly encouraged to attend and acknowledged for their contributions.
