Iceberg Events was established in 1996 by Professional Conference Organiser and Managing Director, Jodie Parker. Since then this Brisbane-based events company has grown into a dynamic team comprising of Event Managers, Event Coordinators, Event Assistants and a full-time Graphic Designer.
In that time, Iceberg Events has put together fantastic conferences, conventions, symposia, trade shows and exhibitions, meetings and seminars across Australia and overseas. You can be assured of working with professional and experienced staff who can meet any challenge you care to throw at them.
They believe that organising events should be fun - and they'd like to keep it that way!

Jodie Parker
Founder & Managing Director
Jodie Parker is a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), specialising in conference and event management. Jodie started Iceberg Events in 1996. She was 24 years old. Jodie is passionate about working closely with the client so the whole process is stress-free, fun and professional. She has a wealth of experience from working with corporate companies, franchisees, sporting groups, education, government and associations.

- Jodie project managers the event from start to finish.
- Jodie meets event enquirers for a coffee and takes the time to find out about their conference or event so she can provide free no-obligation proposals (including draft budget).
- Jodie meets with all clients for the initial planning meeting where the overall framework for the event is put into place.
- Jodie has her own Conference & Event Management Blog where she loves providing free advice, tips and commentary.
- She also writes Conference and Event Articles in her spare time. She's written event articles on topics such as running franchisee or group conferences and what event managers do.
- Jodie is also manages the monthly Networx Marketers Meetings in Brisbane - that Iceberg Events manage. They are monthly fun, relaxed networking events for professionals in marketing, advertising, pr, creative industries and business.

- Jodie is an accredited Certified Events Manager with the Professional Conference Organisers (PCO) Association.
- Jodie is an Accredited Summit (Event Management Software) user.
Education/Past Work Experience:
- After completing two degrees (B.A. from The University of Queensland, and a B.Bus - HRM from QUT), she began her career at the Australian Quality Council (AQC). Her position at the AQC evolved into Events Coordinator - doing the administration for the many breakfasts, gala dinners and short courses that the AQC ran.
- Jodie enjoyed the organisational side of her job at the AQC, and decided to go it on her own. Thirteen years later, Iceberg Events has moved to larger office premises and employs several staff.
Personal:
- Jodie especially loves (in no particular order) her business, cycling to and from work, her son, Max, her daughter, Evie and their dad, Ben.

Emma Tooth
Event Manager
Emma Tooth’s position as Event Manager at Iceberg Events involves managing event logistics, liaising with and assisting, clients, sponsors and delegates, and working to ensure that your event is outstanding! She started working at Iceberg Events in February 2008 and loves the excitement of organising all aspects of events both big and small.

- Emma was born in Sydney but grew up in the tropical far-north Queensland city of Cairns.
- On completing high school she moved to Brisbane to study a Bachelor of Communications at Griffith University followed by a Post Graduate Diploma of Business majoring in International Event Management.
- Emma’s favourite things are shoe shopping, dancing and musicals. She also loves socialising with friends, skiing and curling up in front of a good movie.

Event Manager

Kara Sullivan
Event Coordinator & Travel Consultant
Kara Sullivan's role as Event Coordinator at Iceberg Events involves managing event logistics, liaising with and assisting, clients, sponsors and delegates, and working to ensure that your event runs smoothly! Kara is also a Travel Consultant for Iceberg Travel. In this role, Kara looks after the travel management for conference groups, speakers and delegates.

- Kara also manages CoreNet Global as the Member & Component Relations Coordinator for members and chapters in A/NZ. In this role, Kara manages CoreNet Global's monthly Chapter events and assists with membership enquiries.

- Kara did her schooling at Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School and continued her education at the University of Queensland to complete her Bachelor of Business degree.
- Kara’s favourite things to do include hanging out with friends, playing social netball, going to the beach, and attending music gigs and festivals.

Stephanie Iovannella
Event Assistant
Stephanie Iovannella's role as Event Assistant sees her assisting the event management team. She enjoys assisting delegates with their registrations and their requirements over the phone, and also enjoys meeting and greeting delegates at registration.

- In 2008 Stephanie moved from Cairns to Brisbane to further her education and has recently graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of International, Hotel and Tourism Management, Majoring in Events Management.
- Over the past four years at University, Stephanie has worked and volunteered in the events and tourism industry on a variety of events, conferences and festivals.

Lisa Ma
Graphic Designer
Lisa Ma started work at Iceberg Events in early 2003 and enjoys being part of a fun and dynamic team! Her role at Iceberg Events has evolved and she is currently a Graphic Designer for Iceberg Events and Event Coordinator for Networx Brisbane events.
Lisa enjoys providing the best customer service to clients and guests with a positive attitude, friendly personality, commitment and a smile.

- Lisa grew up in Boonah, a beautiful country town in south-east Queensland.
- Lisa did her schooling at Ipswich Girls' Grammar School and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Griffith University (Nathan Campus), whilst working in hospitality.
- Lisa loves going to the cinema, musicals and stage productions and some of her best memories were going to Broadway in New York and the shows in Las Vegas. Favourite hang-outs in Brisbane are West End and South Bank.
