Queenstown Famil Day 2
A huge day today!! Beginning with Breakfast at the Crowne Plaza Queenstown - hard to get past the amazing views of the lake and the mountains outside the window.
We were then picked up by Nomad Safaris in an amazing four wheel drive vehicle, taken to some fabulous lookout spots, and then down to do some panning for gold!! Found some, but not enough to retire on, unfortunately. From there to check out Arrowtown - a gorgeous quaint little gold mining village.
Next to the beautiful Stoneridge Estate (Stoneridge.co.nz) for a lovely lunch. Stoneridge would be a great wedding venue, or could be a fabulous dinner venue - no real theming required!!
Then on to Highlands Motorsport Park (highlands.co.nz) for some go kart racing (I didn't win) and then a lap in the Porsche taxi at 200 km per hour!! A great spot for team building activities, and also has conference space - though I'm not sure how you would get the car enthusiasts among you to focus. ;-)
Just to continue the action packed day - next up was bungy jumping at AJ Hackett (bungy.co.nz). I opted to watch but that was just as fun, I think!! Fabulous dinner venue there, at a really iconic spot for Queenstown.
Off for wine tasting and cheese from Gibbston Valley (gibbstonvalley.com) and a quick tour of the wine cave - what a fabulous spot for dinners and wine matching events!
Time to check in at our accommodation for the night - Millbrook Resort (Millbrook.co.nz). An hour or so to enjoy our room, and then off to dinner at Skyline - up in the gondola, some info about The Peak Teams program (www.peakteams.com.au) from HQNZ (HQNZ.co.nz - our lovely hosts, who also happen to facilitate the Peak Teams program),a lovely dinner and then home to bed!
