A (surprising) Town Like Alice
I was lucky enough to be invited to the Alice Stampede this year – a program which the Northern Territory Convention Bureau puts on each year to encourage people like me to encourage people like my clients to consider Alice Springs for their conference.
For a town of 30000 people, they have some amazing infrastructure for events – a Convention Centre, lots of hotels, some absolutely incredible off-site venues for dinners, and some really passionate suppliers. It’s not at all what I pictured. Fun Fact: Alice Springs is the Art Gallery capital of Australia – there are more art galleries here per capita than anywhere else. Who knew that??
There is a lot of amazing things happening in Alice in the health and engineering kind of spaces too - things that would be fascinating for delegates, and could easily be incorporated into a conference program for some local content.
I am absolutely a convert. If you would like to find out more about the possibility of hosting your event in Alice Springs, please give me a call (though I’m likely to talk your ear off so be warned).
